IT'S A GREAT DAY FOR AMERICA EVERYBODY!

Today I’m not gonna talk about my trip or life in Paris, but about one of the most talented Tv host of America, I discovered him two years ago, and now I can’t stop watching his show, even if I’m in France. His shows are really interesting, because, it’s a total mess but he knows exactly what he's doing. I really want to pass one week to see the rehearsal and how he’s doing everything. I study how he’s doing his show in my school, and I have to say after watching lot of Late night shows that he’s the best and if I can do his job, I’ll do it, it’s my dream job, but there is lot of work behind the show, I know it!. So today it’s time to share his talent and to talk about him. By the way, one day I’ll be in his audience, this summer I’m going to LA and I’ll go to see him for sure. I'm a proud member of The Robot Skeleton Army. For those of you who are thinking "What the FUCK is she talking about?" Go watch this show immediately!! This means I am a faithful follower of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and of Craig Ferguson on Twitter.

To begin this article I’m gonna tell you a little bit about him.

Craig Ferguson has made something of an art of lowering expectations about himself and then sneaking up on his audiences, almost unawares, and worming his way into their heart. He's been unknown a long time so that obscurity has, in a some ways, turned into his greatest asset!!
Craig Ferguson is an actor, comedian, screenwriter, film producer, composer, producer and television host American of Scottish descent, born May 17 (I’m born may 6, coincidences?? Lol), 1962 in Glasgow (Scotland, United Kingdom) and naturalized American in 2008. He leads since 2005 the television show The Late Late Show aired on U.S. network CBS. It gets very prestigious Peabody Award in 2010 for this issue.
Since he's coming into his own on the "The Late Late show with Craig Ferguson" and winning his first Emmy nomination in 2006, He achieved a personal milestone in February 2008 when he was sworn in as a U.S. citizen. Then Craig hosted the White House Correspondents Dinner, where critics raved of his witty and comical deliverance speech to the 3 000 attendees who included political journalists, celebrities, and Washington's power players.
He also wrote two books: a novel, Between the Bridge and the River, and autobiography, American on purpose ( I read it, and it’s pretty good, trust me, this is a book that you should read!). In fall of 2009 Harper Collins is set to publish Craig's memoir, AMERICAN ON PURPOSE, a moving and funny memoir of living the American dream as his trip from a small town in Scotland to the entertainment capital of the world. "It will make you laugh, cry and sing 'The Star Spangled Banner' with a Scottish burr"In April 2006, Craig debuted his first novel entitled "Between the Bridge and the River", which became a critically acclaimed bestseller.

He began his artistic career as a drummer in the rock band Exposure in the late 70's before joining the rock group depunk The Bastards from Hell, later renamed Dreamboy, with whom he performs regularly in Glasgow from 1980 to 1982 . This group was lead singer Peter Capaldi, the same one that prompted Ferguson to become actor.
In March 1990, he debuted on TV on Granada Television in the Craig Ferguson Show with Paul Whitehouse and Helen Atkinson-Wood. But this show entertainment sketches did not meet his public and stopped the driver.
During the filming of Drew Carey Show, Ferguson spent his free time between each scene to write. He wrote and starred in three films The Big Tease, Saving Grace ( I saw this movie, really awesome) and I'll Be There, a film he also directed and for which he received the Audience Award at the Aspen Festival. "I'll Be There" Went there to Receive the Audience Award for Best Film at the Aspen, Dallas, and Valencia film festivals. Craig was also named "Best new director" at the Napa Valley Film Festival. Ferguson's other film credits include "Niagara Motel", "Lenny the Wonder Dog", "Prendimi l'anima", "Life Without Dick", "Chain of Fools", "Born romantic" and "The Big Tease".
Craig Ferguson also serves on the board of the Lollipop Theater Network. The mission of the Lollipop Theater Network is to bring movies that are currently in theatrical release to hospitalized children facing chronic and life threatening illness nation wide.

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, a talk show that everyone love!

During his talk show, he talks about lot of stuff, celebrities, personal stuff...
And one day he said: "I haven't had a drink in thirteen years", he said on the "Late Late show with Craig F." (2005) on February 1, speaking about his alcoholism."But occasionally, I'm tempted to have one beer. The problem is that if I have the one beer, I wake up in Tijuana four days later with a tattoo and a sore ass!". He always make jokes about himself, and this is why we love him, and that made him more closer of us.
During his show, he always opens his monologues by saying "It's a great day for America, everybody" and he always smacks the side of the teleprompter on the camera at the beginning of his monologues. He tears the card with questions to shreds and tosses it as he begins each interview. And of course he use his fucking awesome humor. (Yeah I said it!)

DOES THIS NEED TO BE SAID??

" I wanna try something I don't normally do... I'm going to try to tell you a joke"
"I promise, I'm going to get to this joke..."

In "Craig Ferguson: Does This Need to be Said?", filmed at Nashville's Polk Theatre, Craig tackles everything from profanity and celebrity to politics and culture. It is the first of those things that provides the largest laughs.
What a rogue this Craig! From a meager upbringing on the mean streets of Scotland, to cheeky talk show host-turned proud American citizen, Craig Ferguson couldn't care more, but not give a damn less at the same time. His new stand up special, Does This need to be said?"
The most charming bastard you could find ( yes I'm talking like Craig!), exploits his freedom on the stand up stage in Nashville, his ability to swear fills him with particular glee "Fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck". He even jokes about his son having a swear box that he often pays. Moreover, it's seems that Kate Winslet is a fat bitch. Well not really, but Craig has to dish celebrity dirt to stay employed (What a great job). In this uproarious performance, we gets a glimpse of what happens when a late night host is faced with dealing with the celebrities in the real world. (Craig we support you!)

The show ended with a reenact by Ferguson, Saladin and Arnold of the infamous Britney Spears "Oops I Did It Again"

I have to tell that it’s impossible to not enjoy someone who have this humor. Ferguson not only enjoys being able to say whatever he wants, he also enjoys sharing his wry observations with the audiance.  Craig ferguson's standup is kind of his Late Late Show monologues but much spicier and his energy and humour are so great that you can't take your eyes off him. There's a good reason why he's the King of the Late night television and everyone who saw his shows knows exactly why.

Craig Ferguson and French people! The King came to our city!

The american audiences may know that emerged in December that Arthur (one of my favorite French Tv host, I have to say that, so I'm pretty proud of what happened, and I went twice to his show Ce soir avec Arthur and I can say that it's one of the most awesome show at the moment in France), a stand-up comedian whose real name is Jacques Essebag, had borrowed a great deal from "The Late Late show". Craig invited his imitator to appear alongside him in Los Angeles. On Ferguson's reciprocal visit, he performed a monologue in French and disco danced with Arthur.

Arthur said:
"He inspires me, but my show has nothing in common with his show" Arthur said and adding "I don't have the same sense oh humor."
For his sixth year as host of "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on CBS, Craig wanted to try something new, so he has swapped his Los Angeles studio for the more awesome décor of the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, he played not to ticket-holding audience members, but passers-by in Montmartre (we can see the street where I live! This is awesome, I'm telling you guys I proud!)

"This is the first time in the history of this show that we've been allowed outside" Craig joked on the air before the trip. "Historically, when Americans don't know what to do next, they go to Paris. Benjamin Franklin is like: "What am I going to do now? I'll go to Paris!"
Craig Ferguson is unfortunately unknown in France, I have to say here in France, talk shows are often regarded as an American concept and we only have one show like that in France, it's Ce soir avec Arthur (So thanks Arthur for that).
The first days of filming in Paris were something of frenzy, with Ferguson and his team filmed among a dozen of the city's monuments and tourist havens, including the Eiffel Tower and the Moulin Rouge. I have to admit that one of my favorite part is when he's dancing in the Moulin Rouge, he was freaking funny.
If you're an American talk-show host who discovers your late-night program in Los Angeles is being copied by an imitator nearly 6 000 miles away in Paris. You could write threatening letters in hopes that your doppelganger finds new material. Or you could do what Craig did and invite your copycat into your show. This is WHY Craig is a genius!

So here is a long article about a man who inspire me everyday, and I never gonna stop watching his show, I'm telling you i'm addicted to this show! He just makes my days. By the way I always studying his shows at my school (I'm a student in a school for medias, and I'm studying American medias). So Craig never stop to make us laugh, you have a gift! So never stop to shine! In January I'm leaving Paris for New York, I'm gonna live my American dream during 6 months, maybe I'll do my internship in CBS who knows?! And this summer I'm going to LA, so I'll do my best to be in the audience! So Craig be ready!! and to conclude this article , IT'S A GREAT DAY FOR AMERICA!

CUBA LIBRE

I made one of the beautiful trip of my life this summer, and I will never forget the kindness of the people that we met and the beautiful landscapes. I went with my brother in Cuba this summer. That may be one of the most beautiful trip I made but we got many adventures.

First the trip started directly at the airport, when I saw the plane I thought, "Oh God, keep us alive!" If I have one recommendation: do not take local companies , unless you like to scare you! We had a lot of turbulences, the hostesses were there without really being there ... and after a journey of more than 13 hours in this conditions, the maximum stress, we're just happy to touch the Cuban floor and say we are FINALLY arrived! Thanks God!

The first stop of this trip was La Havana, all tourists go in this city, we will say that we forces your hand a little to get there. First of all  when you go to Cuba you must be prepared for a big change, no food, no running water, no luxuary object... We left the luxury of Paris and our cozy life in Paris! It is hot and humid, we don't know how to dress, and the most frustrating in all  is that the Cubans used to watch us, and laugh. I just wanted to say "Men that's not funny, I'm gonna die! "But I didn't. We can't stay more than two hours outside, so we make the plan to return to the hotel as often as possible. Speaking of the hotel, the Cubans cleaners , they don't clean it, they watch  TV in your room, they watch their TV novelas! It's a true story, I saw her! Cuba is a very poor country, since it's the United States embargo on the island. It is a country poorer day by day and we can not help. I didn't expect to see so much poverty. First day in Havana, we have barely set foot outside that we're accosted by two Cubans who takes us into the depths of the city but we can't say no. We mix with the population, but one of our problem was that we didn't speak Spanish very well, my brother I we look to each other and say: "What are we doing here?!"
We are still in the city, the capital of the country, and we feel that there has been war, the roads are potholed, the water is stagnant in some places, people walk barefoot, children play with plastic bottles, and dogs are skinny ... What impresses us the most was the rationing, people have ration cards, they have the right to five eggs per week and per family! It's hard to believe for us we are French, who have everything we want "You want eggs,  go to the super market and you will get the number of eggs that you want" It's hard to believe that things like that still exist. The shops have nothing on display, only one pair of shoes, one size, which costs more than a year's salary for them. We do not really feel confortable. After more than two hours walking in the streets of La Havana, we decided to go for a drink, the choice was quickly made, you have to know that they don't have American drinks, so if you want a Cola do not even think about it! Despite this poverty and we will see worse in the days that followed, people are happy to live, there's music everywhere, people drink and dance.

Cuba for me was the land of dance, music, rum and cigars! We visited the Partagas cigar factory, where the photos and videos were forbidden, as indeed we saw the conditions, we immediately understood why they did not want us to take pictures. They work in a heat that we can not describe, and everything is manual. They must be efficient!
We could also see a replica of the roof of the Capitol in Washington.

And Cuba is also famous for the old cars, old American and Russians cars . We wonder how they can still roll. But they are very well maintained.

We left La Havana after a two days of visit, direction Trinidad, a small town, where there is only one hotel and  it's a palace! we feel even more embarrassing. People don't have cars, they walk on donkeys or on their horses. The roads are not concrete, there is a small square with a church that is beautiful. We realize they don't have the same priorities as us. They live in a completely different pace. The thing that impress us the most in this city was the restaurants. We went to the traditional Cuban restaurant, the host was a real mama cuban, we have a chance to eat in the guest room of the house, restaurants can only have 10 tables (the law that imposes it). We were all distributed in different rooms. My brother decided to take a chicken wing with vegetables. But what we did not know is that by chicken wings they mean a WHOLE chicken! He ended up with a whole chicken on his plate, and he failed to eat it all. He was like: "What the hell is this?!"
We also went on a beach near the city, an idyllic beach and there was only Cuban families, no tourists, but we had barely put a foot in the water we got bitten by a jellyfish ! we quickly exited the water I tell you.

  1. After this short stop of two days we went to St. Clara, a city that you can't missed, indeed is the city of Che Guevara. Just enough time to take some pictures and we left right away to Varadero, the Miami of Cuba, the Cubans describe this part of the island like that. Indeed, they can't get there, only tourists are allowed. It is part of the island and there are only hotels. We arrive at the Palace Paradicious, we immediately understood the name of the hotel, it was paradise, the blue sea, cocktails at will, a giant swimming pool and relaxed people! We spent a week over there, away from the bustle of the city. The beaches are really beautiful, the water is warm, the lobster is a will, can we still complain? I do not think so.

We are back in Paris, with lots of memories that are engraved in our heads for life. If you want to see beautiful landscapes and friendly people is THE PLACE TO BE!

I AM STERDAM

Hey Guys, it’s been a while that i didn’t write an article but i was really busy (i’m leaving for Cuba in two weeks). My article today will talk about  my trip to Amsterdam last month.

I went to Amsterdam for my birthday last month (it was one of my gifts) with the student office of my school (we elect each year a new team dedicated to organize events in school). We left Paris with two buses for an unforgettable adventure.

Amsterdam, what makes you think this city? Some people will say: Las Vegas without the casinos, "what happened in Amsterdam stay in Amsterdam". City of all the excesses, Amsterdam has two lives, during the day where you can admire a magnificent architecture, walks along rivers, cycling, strolling on the terrace of a café and visiting museums.

At the center of the city, found on the Dam (the dam) the old city hall of the XVIIe century, which is from the reign of King Louis Bonaparte (1806-1810) until today the royal palace.

The city is also famous for   the Red light district, and for its many coffee shops, who’re possessing a license to market the cannabis.

Amsterdam by night, the Red light district, you have to see this at least once in your  life. The red light district ... is the craziest place I had ever seen in my life!  Anything goes crazy, and everything will be forgotten the next day, if indeed we remember something. You see the movie The Hangover with Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper, a morning in    Amsterdam is quite the movie. I promise!

The red light district in Amsterdam, is the district of "whores".
In Amsterdam, there is no taboos with sex, prostitutes are on display, they  make some big signs for men to come to them.
And men negotiate the price on the sidewalk in full view of everyone. It is even, I can say pride for them to do that!
Girls have dared not look, we're embarrassed so we talk, we laugh about this phenomenon and we don’t stay two hours near these windows. This town is made for men, because if you're a girl in Amsterdam you are a easy prey, so this is why I give you a little advice: never be alone in the streets of Amsterdam! All Pubs serve a lot of alcohol, people seems to be happy, they are here to party and forget the problems of everyday life!

Country of drug self-service "if you come to Amsterdam it’s for  smoking drugs, drink and maybe more"  that what certain person told me when I met them. Drugs, everyone comes to Amsterdam to smoke. I don’t smoke, I also wonder why some people like to get into such a state?.I mean, There are certain  person for who  this is not a pretty sight!

I'll tell you a    funny and true story that   happened to me. We had spent the night in the bus (almost 10 hours of road, but we made  lot of breaks), and we partied all night from Paris. We finally arrived in Amsterdam, it was 8am and I was not quite awake. Everybody rushed into the famous Coffee Shop (store where they sell drugs). Freshly awakened, I am moving and someone said to me: What do you take at the Coffee Shop? I replied very simply and very naively I'll get  a good strong Coffee, just to wake me up once and for all. A person laugh and say to me: But  do you know what a Coffee Shop is? I replied again very simply: A place that sells coffee I suppose?! She laughs again and tell me: No, I don’t think so! It is rather a place where people buy things not legal!  My mistake I reply, laughing and I said to her  but  if there isreal coffee I want it!

After this little accident, we went to visit the real Amsterdam, the museums and walks. We went to see the Anne Frank House, which is very interesting to visit. It's hard to believe she is able to live here for long.
We went to see the Hard Rock Café in Amsterdam, where I could finally have a coffee!
Then we
went in front of the museum of Madame Tussauds!

What is very surprising in Amsterdam, is the fact that there have not lot of cars, but there are so many bikes, I had never seen so much of my life, they even have parking for bikes . In addition, trams are pretty dangerous. But that's what makes the charm of this city.

What I liked the most in Amsterdam was the architecture , we want to live there because it's quiet and beautiful. The street are sublime, like in the movies.
Amsterdam was a great experience that I recommend to everyone, iti’s a beautiful city by day or night.
Those who want to party this is the place to BE!
